A Master’s student at the Center for Constructive Communication, Elinor completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in honors mathematics and computer science. Her research background is in the study of natural language processing (NLP), with a particular focus on addressing harmful biases in large language models to promote fairness and safety. She is passionate about the ethical implications of AI and hopes to develop responsible NLP tools for applications that promote social good and AI literacy. Beyond her academic pursuits, Elinor is enthusiastic about linguistics and abstract math (especially category theory!). In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and nurturing a growing collection of house plants.
